IntroductionSo you are interested in submitting web content? Please visit
this topic here for some basics about what you can submit and how to sign up for submission access.
By signing up for submission you are agreeing that you have given HMM the right to display your works and that we are not allowed to edit your original works. You also have the right to take down your works or to edit them - that is the law.
Below is a description on how to submit web content. Click on the thumbnails for a better view of the images.
I am an author now what?
Once you log in you are greeted by the screen on the left.
Straight away you will notice a box that you have not seen before called the Admin Tool box. Click on "Submit an Article" - this is highlighted with a red arrow. You will now load up a page similar to the second page on the right.
As you can see, there is a box for Title and Post Content (as labeled in the diagrams). You can use the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor very easily by using the format tools on the top of the Post Content box, or by copy and pasting from a webpage or word document (usually it will copy the formatting including colours, bolds, underlines, and sometimes even fonts). If you wish to use some HTML you can click on the button denoted "<>" as shown on the second picture.
Once you are finished you can press on "Hide HTML" to go back to the WYSIWYG editor (as seen on the third picture). When you are happy with your article please make sure you press "Use Intro - Yes" and then type an intro inside the "Intro Text" box as described in
this topic here. These buttons and boxes can be seen in the fifth snapshot.
Then hit save! This should bring you to the next image down - thanking you for your submission (see the fifth picture).
Once your article has been accepted you will be able to view it in the relevant section. You will also be able to edit it whenever you would like to update or change the information you have posted. Others will not be able to edit your post.See the last picture for the location of the edit button on your post.
If you wish to be informed of your submission acceptance process please PM
Waltz and she will PM you when your submission has been accepted and where it has been moved to. Major contributors of material will have their own section with only their articles in it.
Hopefully this tutorial has been able to help you get started with article submissions. If you still have questions about becoming a Web Author please post in the thread referred to at the beginning of this tutorial!
